All of us have times in our lives when we make a choice to get from where we are now to someplace else. Life Planning is about closing that gap. To achieve this, we use Coaching as the method to help you reshape your thinking and take action..

What is coaching?

Coaching is a process of conversation that helps you define a gap between where you are and where you want to be. Then a discovery process takes place where you take actions to bridge that gap. Your Coach is a partner in helping you define your action items and help you stay on track.

What coaching isn't?

Coaching is not therapy- it does not try to eliminate but rather works with your current situation. For example: you have a fear of dogs and will be in a situation soon where you will be in close contact with a dog. You would go to a therapist to work on you why you have this fear and how to eliminate it. You could work with a coach to help you define and implement ways to deal with the situation coming up. I refer clients to licensed therapists when appropriate.

Why do I need coaching?

Throughout the years we build habitual patterns that I call the “cocoon”. These cocoons have helped us remain safe and secure in the world. They can also hinder us from moving forward in our lives. I will help you step out of your cocoon and into a fresh experience by gentle questioning that will empower you to take action. By doing so, you will have more energy, and more awareness to improve your personal and financial life.

How do I know if someone is qualified to coach?

Your Coach should be certified by the International Federation of Coaches, or be enrolled in a program to obtain certification. Your Coach should also provide references upon request. Fern Alix LaRocca is currently enrolled in the Corporate Coach University Program and can provide references from previous clients.

How much does it cost?
